Even though I've missed 9 days so far I'm confident I'll try and do the whole month (and will even back date to catch up)!
1st March: Introduce yourself
Hi! I'm Ellie, I'm 19 years old and am currently at university in my first year studying BSc Psychology. I've been blogging for a while now, but the most updated one is indeed Trouble Soul, it's more of a diary and permanent fixture in my life than the others.
I live in student halls (although really good ones) and live with 5 others in the flat; we get on relatively well.
I've struggled with lots of difficult things in my life and I'm told that this makes me a stronger person. I don't think I'd be here today without some special people in my life who have helped me through some extremely awful times.
My favourite thing to do is 'escape' from life; I am very passionate about reading and love sinking my teeth into a great book and when coupled with a cup of tea I'm in heaven. I also enjoy listening to music and singing (although that doesn't mean I'm very good) and I love art work too. I took A-Level and GCSE Art and have found my creativity again by attending a local art class in town.
I enjoy romantic comedies; one of my favourites is The Proposal. I also love Nicholas Sparks' films, with my favourite being The Lucky One. My favourite book is The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks, I will never not want to read that novel over and over again, it is beautiful.
My favourite colour is purple and next favourite would have to be turquoise/sky blue.
I wear glasses and cuddle a teddy at night because I'm cool like that.
Another thing you should know about me is that I'm a STRICT vegetarian (not one of those that eats fish or such like) and I am 100% against animal testing- protesting against the world by only buying vegan and non-animal tested products.
I'm a Christian and have started finding God in my life much more lately than ever; mainly after reading the Conversations with God trilogy.
I believe in love, peace and hope.
2nd March: Passions
So I've covered some of these already in my Introduction but I'll briefly bullet point them here :)
- World Peace and an end to Poverty (sounds cheesy but true)
- Art, Museums, Education
- The Environment; hearing the birds sing, walking by a lake, standing on a beach...
- Spreading love, joy and hope to all
- Music; singing and dancing your soul out
In terms of family I live (when not at uni) with my Mum, Dad and sister. We get on well and recently (well, nearly two years ago) added another addition in the form of a bunny rabbit named Wish Wish. We live in a village about 10 minutes away from a massive shopping town.
In terms of extended family I see my Mum's side of the family more than my Dad's. In total I have 6 pairs of Uncles/Aunts and 3 cousins. I have one grandparent left (my Mum's mum).
I miss my family a lot when I'm away although it is really nice to have my own space and to be able to do things on my own terms.
4th March: 5 random things I love
- Frozen Peas (as in eating them while they are still frozen).... I can't help myself
- Having a new toothbrush and new toothpaste tube at the same time and being the first to squeeze!
- Painting my nails
- Watching snow falling
- The sound of the recycling bin when you delete something on your computer
5th March: If you won £20 million
I have no idea; I'd buy a house for my family and myself, donate lots to charity, set up my own counselling practice....

And so we're on schedule today....
10th March: How you WANT the next 5 years to go
Well I'd like to find a partner, to feel better about my body and to have no need to wear make-up (i.e. I will have CLEAR SKIN). I'd be 24 so maybe on the verge of getting married/engaged.... first house? I'd be in a secure job that makes me happy and I'd be doing something to make a difference in the world by spreading love, joy and hope. I'd be more confident and happy and be able to enjoy life without unnecessary worries.
Right, I think that's enough for tonight. I'd better submit before it changes to 11th March and bore you with another post to read!
Nighty- night,
Ell <3 xxxx
